Pickleball: Open Play

Play one of the fastest growing sports in America! Pickleball is a racquet sport played by 2-4 people that has elements similar to badminton and tennis. This recreational open play time welcomes all levels to attend. A membership at the Rec & Tennis Center is required to play. Non-members will be required to purchase a $5 day pass.

Intro to Pickleball

Learn pickleball scoring, rules, serve and return, point play and game play in this introductory class. Maximum of 8 players of class, minimum of 4 players to host class. Pre-registration is required. Sign up at the Rec & Tennis Center or by calling 281-403-8637.

This class teaches participants proper form and technique on various muscular strength and endurance by using a variety of movements.

Acrylic Painting Classes
Tuesdays

Cost: $75 per 5 week session

Classes are taught by professional painter Heather Roy and held in 5 week sessions. Each session, participants will complete an acrylic painting to take home. All supplies are provided!

Grab your yoga mat and join us for on of our yoga classes! These classes focus on breathing and proper alignment allowing students to work on improving flexibility, balance, and core strength. Open to all levels of experience.

Get your paddle on every Tuesday at the Rec! Paddles and balls included with valid ID for reservation. Stop by the Rec and test out your skills. $5 day pass required for non-rec members.

The Missouri City Parks & Recreation Department hosts senior bingo monthly for area residents who are 50+. Enjoy refreshments with friends while playing for great prizes.

Book Talk

Are you a food enthusiast? Enjoy meeting new friends? Join us for Senior Foodies! This program for senior citizens (50+), is an opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant with great company. All participants are encouraged to RSVP by calling 281-403-8637. On the day of the event, we will meet at the designated lunch location at 11:30 am. Separate checks will be issued for each participant.

Join us for a tour of The Avenues of Fort Bend Senior Living. The tour will cover all of the amenities, activities, and dining. The tour will include a stop in the dining hall and the chefs will prepare lunch for participants! RSVP by calling 281-403-8637.

The Institute for Spiritually and Health and TMF Health Quality Institute is offering a Health for Life initiative entitled: Everyone with Diabetes Counts. This self-management diabetes class is available for individuals 65+. Register by calling 281-403-8637. Class limited to 12 participants.

Senior Field Trip
Wednesday, June 12

Cost: $45, includes lunch & indoor suite

Join us on an outing to Constellation Field in Sugar Land for a Skeeters Baseball game. Trip participants will go on a pre-game tour and enjoy the game from the comfort of an air-conditioned suite! Lunch will include 5 buffet style food options and a dessert buffet. Sign up at the Rec & Tennis Center or by calling 281-403-8637.
