Join us for an adaptive yoga practice that focuses on deepening your flexibility
and strengthens personal body awareness. Created by Lakshmi Voelker-Binder in
1982, chair yoga has helped people with an array of health issues and mobility
levels by learning many kinds of yoga postures with the aid of a chair.
This class is a slow-paced Vinyasa style yoga focusing on breathing and proper alignment. Students will work to improve flexibility, balance, and core strength.
This class is based on Hatha and Raja Yoga. The instructor's philosophy is that every person, no matter their age, health style or fitness level will benefit physically, mentally and emotionally by incorporating yoga into their life. During yoga, participants will learn postures, breath control, meditation and relaxation techniques.
